Spoken Word. Always.

I think that spoken word is such an incredible medium.

Poetry + instruments + sharing words + charisma + honesty + an interesting message = incredible energy

Act like a Girl

Apart from this short being a marketing ploy by Always, it’s also quite a sweet little video.

In the West, it’s “you’re acting like a girl”.

In Thailand, it’s “you’re acting like a kathoey (ladyboy)”.

The word ‘gay’ is still used as an insult, or a word to suggest something bad.

To be honest, it’s getting boring. However you want to act is fine, as long as it’s honest.

Different types of peoples, sexualities, races etc are not nifty little adjectives to describe negative situations, but words that represent life choices, family, heritage and so forth.

Instead of “don’t be a girl”, how about “don’t be an asshole”.
